Prefer to sell your collection without waiting for individual cards to find a buyer? Card Reserve New Zealand considers single cards and collections for direct purchase, giving you a straightforward alternative to listing and managing each card yourself.
Collections are our preference, and individual cards are welcome too. Share an overview of what you have, along with photographs of the collection and its standout cards. We handle buying enquiries online and by email; we do not offer in-store buying appointments.
What we are interested in
We are mostly interested in cards featuring popular players and collectible characters, with a preference for collections containing standout cards.
For sports cards, examples include Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Edwards, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Shohei Ohtani, Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. This is a guide rather than an exhaustive list; other established stars and sought-after rookies are welcome for consideration.
We are particularly looking for: serial-numbered cards, autographs, patch and memorabilia cards, short prints, case hits and sought-after parallels. We also consider desirable Pokémon, One Piece, Disney and Marvel cards, including popular characters and special artwork. Both raw and professionally graded cards can be submitted.
We are generally not looking for standard base cards or bulk common cards. If your collection includes a mix, highlight the notable cards in your description and photographs.
Our categories include NBA, NFL, MLB, soccer, NRL, Pokémon, One Piece, Disney and Marvel. Have something else? Include it in your submission and we will let you know whether it is a fit.
How it works
- Send your collection details. Include your name, email address, a brief description and clear photos. A card list and your asking price are helpful if available.
- We review your submission. We consider the cards, condition and demand before deciding whether to make an offer. We may ask for more information or photographs.
- Agree the next steps. If we agree a purchase, we will confirm any inspection requirements, delivery arrangements and payment details before you send your cards.
Buying questions
Do you provide valuations or grading advice?
We do not offer standalone collection valuations or advice on which cards to grade. Our review is specifically to assess cards for a potential purchase by Card Reserve NZ.
How can I get an idea of my cards’ value?
Compare recent completed sales for the same card, including its set, parallel, language, condition and grade. Asking prices can differ from what buyers actually pay. Include any relevant sales information with your submission.
Will you definitely buy my cards?
Submitting a collection does not guarantee an offer. Our decision depends on condition, authenticity, demand and the stock we already hold.
How much do you pay?
We assess each collection individually. Any offer reflects the cards’ resale potential, condition and the work involved in preparing and selling them. We will explain the offer before you decide whether to proceed.
Do you prefer collections or individual cards?
We prefer buying collections, but we also welcome individual cards for consideration. Whether you have one standout card or a full collection, send us the details and photographs for review.
How soon will I hear back?
We aim to respond within 24–72 hours, depending on the size of your collection.
